- NG2, also known as MCSP, is a chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan that has been used as a cell surface marker for melanoma and glial precursor cells. NG2 also promotes epidermal stem cell patterned clustering. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.25ug labels 10e6 cells. Tested using A375 cells Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml for immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human skin cancer tissue (melanoma) Western Blot: 1ug/ml in A375 human melanoma cell line and SK-Mel-28 human malignant melanoma cell line Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
