- This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Alpha-Hemoglobin Stabilizing Protein (aHSP). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Alpha-Hemoglobin Stabilizing Protein (aHSP) and analogues was observed. It is based upon a Sandwich assay principle and can be used to detect levels of AHSP / EDRF as low as 0.57 nanograms per millilter.
