- This antibody recognizes a protein of 25-26 kDa , identified as the bcl-2alpha oncoprotein. It shows no cross-reaction with Bcl-x or Bax protein. Expression of bcl-2alpha oncoprotein inhibits the programmed cell death (apoptosis).
