Figure 3. At reduced glutathione concentrations higher than 0.2 mM, detection reagent oxidation results from side chain reaction between GSH and HRP. This could cause aberrant readings. To minimize this interference it is recommended to add N-Ethylmaleimide (NEM) at 40 mM to the reaction (4 uM of lactate was used here).
