It is expressed by hepatocytes (60 kDa) and platelets (50 kDa),with MW differences attributable to glycosylation. CPB2 is cleaved by thrombin and plasmin,generating a 36 kDa,relatively insoluble nonglycosylated enzymatically active fragment (TAFIa).
