- GRIK2 (Glutamate Ionotropic Receptor Kainate Type Subunit 2) is a Protein Coding gene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have also been described for this gene. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal recessive mental retardation.
