The NKG2 molecules are a family of lectin-like receptors that form heterodimers with CD94. NKG2/CD94 heterodimer are primarily expressed on NK cells, and a subset of CD8+ T cells. Studies of CD94/NKG2 heterodimers on NK cells have demonstrated that the NKG2 components transduce signals after ligand binding. NKG2A transduces inhibitory signals, while NKG2C and NKG2E transduce activating signals. None (Azide-Free,Low Endotoxin) are perfectly suited to be used in culture or in vivo (for nonhuman studies) for functional assays blocking, neutralizing, activation or depletion where the presence of azide may damage cells or exogenous endotoxin may signal or activate cells.
