- The CLS-ACI-1 cell line was established in 1998 from a solid mammary carcinoma, which was induced in a model organism through oral administration of 7,12-dimethylbenzo[a]anthracene (DMBA) at a dosage of 20 mg per kilogram body weight. DMBA is a well-known potent mutagen and carcinogen that is commonly used in experimental oncology for the induction of cancers, particularly in studies related to breast cancer.
