Has transaminase activity towards L-kynurenine; tryptophan; phenylalanine; serine; cysteine; methionine; histidine; glutamine and asparagine with glyoxylate as an amino group acceptor (in vitro). Has lower activity with 2-oxoglutarate as amino group acceptor (in vitro) (By similarity).
