Modulates the organization and assembly of the cytoskeleton. Also participates in nuclear events including transcription; RNA transport; DNA replication and apoptosis. Nuclear functions are probably due to the nitrosylase activity that mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of nuclear target proteins (By similarity).
