The peptide KASEKIFYV, derived from the cancer-testis antigen SSX-2, is presented by the HLA-A*02:01/B Beta2-microglobulin (B Beta2m) complex. This peptide-MHC complex is recognized as a tumor-associated antigen and can elicit specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses. Its presentation on certain tumor cells makes it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy, particularly in cancers where SSX-2 is aberrantly expressed, such as melanoma, synovial sarcoma, and some carcinomas.
