UGDH transfers UDP-glucose to UDP-glucuronate and thus takes part in the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans such as hyaluronan; chondroitin sulfate; and heparan sulfate. These glycosylated products are ordinary molecules of the extracellular matrix and participate in signal transduction; cell migration; and cancer growth and metastasis.UGDH Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 516 amino acids (1-493a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 57.2kDa. UGDH is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
