- Source: Sf9; Baculovirus cells.Sterile Filtered clear solution. ULBP1 together with at least ULBP2 and ULBP3; is ligand for the NKG2D receptor. ULBPs stimulate various signaling pathways in primary NK cells; which result in cytokines and chemokines production. In CMV infected cells; ULBP1 cooperates with soluble CMV glycoprotein UL16 to inhibit the interaction with the NKG2D receptor providing a mechanism by which CMV infected cells escape the immune system. Additionally; UL16 retains ULBP1 to the ER and cis-Golgi apparatus to prevent it from reaching cell surface.ULBP1 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 200 amino acids (26-216) and having a molecular mass of 23.4kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 20-40kDa).ULBP1 is fused to a 6 amino acid IgG His-Tag at C-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
