TNF is mainly secreted by macrophages.TNF causes apoptotic cell death; cellular proliferation; differentiation; inflammation; tumorigenesis and viral replication; TNF is also involved in lipid metabolism; and coagulation. TNF's primary role is in the regulation of immune cells.Dysregulation and; in particular; overproduction of TNF have been implicated in a variety of human diseases- autoimmune diseases; insulin resistance; and cancer.TNFA Mouse Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 162 amino acids (80-235 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 18kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 18-28kDa).TNFA is expressed with a 6 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
