PTMS Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 125 amino acids (1-102aa) and having a molecular mass of 13.9kDa.PTMS is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Parathymosin; also known as PTMS is a member of the pro/parathymosin family. PTMS may mediate immune function by blocking the effect of prothymosin alpha which confers resistance to particular opportunistic infections. Among the diseases associated with PTMS are hepatitis b; and alzheimer's disease.
