MAPRE3 produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 301 amino acids (1-281a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 34.1kDa.MAPRE3 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. MAPRE3 is a microtubule related protein that cooperates with the colorectal adenomatous polyposis coli tumor suppressor protein and takes a curtail part in regulating microtubule dynamics; cell polarity; and chromosome stability. MAPRE3 protein is related to MAPRE1 and also associates with the microtubule cytoskeleton. MAPRE3 is expressed mainly in the central nervous system and specially associates with APCL; a homolog of the adenomatous polyposis coli tumor suppressor protein.
