LSM12 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 218 amino acids (1-195 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 24.1kDa.LSM12 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. LSM12 Homolog; U6 Small Nuclear RNA Associated (LSM12) is a member of the snRNP Sm proteins family. Sm-like proteins were detected in various organisms based on sequence homology with the Sm protein family. Sm-like proteins comprise the Sm sequence motif; which consists of two regions parted by a linker of variable length which folds as a loop. The Sm-like proteins are assumed to create a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles; which are significant for pre-mRNA splicing.
