HOMER2 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 368 amino acids (1-343) and having a molecular mass of 42.1kDa.HOMER2 is fused to a 25 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. HOMER2 belongs to the homer family of dendritic proteins which are immediate early gene products who bind to group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs); proteins associated to triggering intracellular calcium release. Additionally; HOMER2 conect mGluRs to the inositol triphosphate receptors (IP3R).
