- Source : Escherichia Coli. Recombinant Human HOMER1 produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 391 amino acids (1-354 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 44.5 kDa. HOMER1 is fused to a 37 amino acid His Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. HOMER1 takes part in determining the apoptotic susceptibility to TRAIL. HOMER1 is a member of the Homer family of proteins that regulate signal transduction through; and the trafficking of; glutamate receptors; plus maintain and regulate extracellular glutamate levels in corticolimbic brain regions. The HOMER1 is enriched at excitatory synapses and binds group 1 metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs).
