ELP5 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 339 amino acids (1-316 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 37.2kDa.ELP5 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Elongator acetyltransferase complex subunit 5 (ELP5) is a member of the ELP5 family. ELP5 functions as subunit of the RNA polymerase II elongator complex; which is a histone acetyltransferase component of the RNA polymerase II (Pol II) holoenzyme and is participated in transcriptional elongation. Elongator plays a role in chromatin remodeling and is involved in acetylation of histones H3 and probably H4. ELP5 takes part in cell migration and is widely expressed in in heart; brain; liver; skeletal muscle and testis.
