RBKS Human Recombinant fused with a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated; polypeptide chain containing 342 amino acids (1-322 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 36.3kDa. The RBKS is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Ribokinase (RBKS) is a member of the pfkB family of carbohydrate kinases. Ribokinase phosphorylates ribose to form ribose-5-phosphate in the presence of ATP and magnesium as a first step in ribose metabolism.
