PRKAG1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 354 amino acids (1-331) and having a molecular mass of 40.0kDa.PRKAG1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. PRKAG1 is a regulatory subunit of the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is a heterotrimer comprised of an alpha catalytic subunit; and non-catalytic beta and gamma subunits. AMPK is a vital energy-sensing enzyme which supervises cellular energy status. PRKAG1 is one of the gamma regulatory subunits of AMPK. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding dissimilar isoforms were found.
