UCHL5 produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing349 amino acids (1-329a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 39.7kDa.UCHL5 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. UCHL5 is a member of the peptidase C12 family. UCHL5 protein is a protease that specifically cleaves 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitin chains; and deubiquitinating enzyme related to the 19S regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome.
