SULT1A2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 315 amino acids (1-295 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 36.4kDa.SULT1A2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Sulfotransferase 1A2 (SULT1A2) belongs to the sulfotransferase family. Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of many hormones; neurotransmitters; drugs; and xenobiotic compounds. SULT1A2 mediates the metabolic activation of carcinogenic N-hydroxyarylamines to DNA binding products and might thus participate as a modulating factor of cancer risk.
