PAPSS1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 626 amino acids (24-624) and having a molecular mass of 70.9kDa.PAPSS1 is fused to a 25 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. PAPSS1 is a bifunctional enzyme with APS kinase and ATP sulfurylase activity. PAPSS1 facilitates two stages in the sulfate activation pathway; yielding 3'-phosphoadenylylsulfate (PAPS). Additionally; PAPSS1 takes part in the biosynthesis of sulfated L-selectin ligands in endothelial cells.
