- Source : Escherichia Coli. FBP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 362 amino acids (1-339) and having a molecular mass of 39kDa. FBP2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Fructose-1;6-bisphosphatase isozyme 2 (FBP2) is a part of the FBPase class 1 family. FBP2 is a gluconeogenesis regulatory enzyme Which catalyzes the hydrolysis of fructose 1;6-bisphosphate to fructose 6-phosphate and inorganic phosphate.
