When cells are added to 1 ug/ml of mouse ALCAM binded to CD6; this effect is more to 50%.CD166 antigen isoform 2 (ALCAM) is a type 1 membrane glycoprotein and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. ALCAM is expressed on thymic epithelium; microvascular endothelium; activated lymphocytes and monocytes; and monocyte-derived dendritic cells. CD166 and CD6 interaction plays a role in T cell development and T cell regulation; as well as in the binding of T cells and B cells to activated leukocytes.ALCAM mouse produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 739 amino acids (28-527a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 83.1kDa. ALCAM is expressed with a 239 amino acid hIgG-His-Tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
