It is a glycoprotein located in bones; that binds to calcium. The osteonectin is secreted from osteoblasts cells when boas are formed; mineralized and promotes the formation and creation of mineral crystals. Asides from calcium; it has been shown that this protein can also bind to collagen.SPARC Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 295 amino acids (18-303 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 33.8kDa.SPARC is fused to an 9 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
