Renin initiates a cascade of reactions that produce an elevation of blood pressure and increased sodium retention by the kidney.REN produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 387 amino acids (22-402 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 42.5kDa (Migrates at 40-57kDa on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions).REN is expressed with a 6 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
