The ephrins and EPH-related receptors contain the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and have been associated with mediating developmental events; particularly in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Based upon their structures and sequence relationships; ephrins are allocated into the ephrin-A (EFNA) class; which are anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage; and the ephrin-B (EFNB) class; which are transmembrane proteins. Ephrin-B2 binds to the EPHB4 and EPHA3 receptors.EFNB2 Mouse Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single polypeptide chain containing 212 amino acids (29-232) and having a molecular mass of 23.4kDa.(Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 28-40KDa).EFNB2 is fused to 8 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
