Proteins of this family form pentameric complexes comprised of both alpha & beta subunits. Furthermore; CHRNA3 is ligand-gated ions channel which prticipates in neurotransmission. CHRNA3 has been associated with an increased risk of smoking initiation as well as an increased susceptibility to lung cancer.CHRNA3 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 232 amino acids (32-240 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 27kDa. CHRNA3 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
