- Source: Sf9; Insect cells.CD80 which is a member of cell surface immunoglobulin superfamily takes part in the costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte activation. CD80 binds to either human or mouse CD28 and CTLA-4 – binding to CD28 induces T-cell proliferation and cytokine production while binding to CTLA-4 inhibits T-cell activation. CD80 is expressed on activated B cells; activated T cells; and macrophages.CD80 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Insect cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 216 amino acids (35-242a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 24.9kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 28-40kDa).CD80 is expressed with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
