BNIP1 interacts with the E1B 19 kDa protein; which defends cells from virally-induced cell death. In addition; BNIP1 interacts with E1B 19 kDa-like sequences of BCL2 which is an additional apoptotic protector. Adding up; BNIP1 is implicated in vesicle transport into the endoplasmic reticulum. Alternative splicing results of BNIP1 in four protein products with identical N- and C-termini have been found.BNIP1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 222 amino acids (1-199 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 25.2kDa. BNIP1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
