- Specificity: Anti-Aripiprazole (clone ARI-0079) is specific for aripiprazole. Background: Aripiprazole; a third-generation atypical antipsychotic; is commonly prescribed for the treatment of schizophrenia; bipolar disorder; and major depressive disorder. Introduced in the early 21st century; aripiprazole exhibits a distinctive mechanism of action as a partial agonist at dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT1A receptors; while antagonizing serotonin 5-HT2A receptors.
