- Interferon A Alpha-6 (IFN-A Alpha6) is a secreted protein which belongs to the A Alpha/B Beta interferon family. IFN-A Alpha6 is produced bymacrophages, expressed at low level, only 1.0% of the average gene in this release. IFN-A Alpha6 contains interferonalpha, beta and delta domain. IFN- A Alpha has antiviral activities. Interferon stimulates the production of twoenzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
