Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), alternatively referred to as CD279, is an immunoglobulin superfamily member. It is expressed by activated T-cells and plays an important role in subsiding immune responses and promoting tolerance to self-antigens by suppressing T-cell activity. PD-1 has two natural ligands, known as PD-L1 (also known as CD274) and PD-L2 (CD273), that are mainly expressed by antigen presenting cells. Since over-expression of PD-L1 is common in many tumours, several monoclonal antibody therapeutics have been developed to block the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction. These include nivolumab (OPDIVO®) and pembrolizumab (Keytruda®), which have seen clinical success in treating melanoma.

PD-1 related Conjugated proteins:
PD1-M82F4 - Biotinylated Mouse PD-1 / PDCD1, Fc Tag, Avi Tag (Avitag™) - Biotinylation of this product is performed using Avitag™ technology. Briefly, the single lysine residue in the Avitag is enzymatically labelled with biotin.
PD1-M52A4 - Mouse PD-1 / PDCD1 Protein, mouse IgG2a Fc Tag, low endotoxin
PD1-H82F2 - Biotinylated Human PD-1/PDCD1, His Tag & Fc Tag, Avi Tag (Avitag™) - This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc fragment at the C-terminus, followed by a polyhistidine tag. The Avi tag (Avitag™) is inserted in-between the Fc and His tags.
PD1-H82E4 - Biotinylated Human PD-1 / PDCD1 Protein, Avitag™,His Tag (recommended for biopanning) - This protein carries an Avi tag (Avitag™) at the C-terminus, followed by a polyhistidine tag.
PD1-HP2F2 - PE-Labelled Human PD-1 / PDCD1 Protein, Fc Tag, His Tag - This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus, followed by a polyhistidine tag.
