Host Cell Protein ELISAs
The production and purification of biopharmaceuticals via cell culture expression systems can produce contaminants in the form of endogenous proteins, typically referred to as host cell proteins (HCPs). Removal of HCP impurities are biggest challenge for Pharmaceutical and Biopharma companies, since HCP impurities can elicit immune responses, therefore contamination must be minimized and monitored in biologics.
