What we've been up to
January 2012:
San Diego remains the top ranked Biotech & Life Science Cluster in US according to the latest Biotech Index. This has been the case despite the present economic crisis, which caused many companies to re-think their strategies and prioritise their core business models. However, as Plato's (?) idiom goes "necessity is the mother of invention" reports have suggested which has led to a revolutionary explosion in companies offering outsourcing opportunities. This has not just been confined to the local area, but has been a global phenomenon where European institutions and companies are ideally placed to benefit from such changes, with one of the highest concentrations of Biotech clusters in the world. We have therefore been visiting some of the companies at the forefront of this paradigm shift to assess for ourselves what the possibilities are. We believe their is great potential to be had, and will update you on this in the future.
